Ten Ways Showing Gratitude Enhances Your Life



Showing gratitude is a very healthy activity yet most of us just don’t understand the power of being grateful.

Abundance surrounds you in many ways. Regardless of your station in life, there are many things that gratify you. What are you thankful for? Take a moment to ponder them.

Consider the ways that having gratitude makes your life better:

1. You’ll be more enthusiastic.

This is the best encouragement for you to start a gratitude journaling practice.

1.     Start the day on a positive note. Set the tone and focus for the rest of your day by taking a few moments each morning to review the positive things in your life. 


·       Self-questions can be a great way to focus on the positive aspects of your life. Good questions to ask include: “What’s something good that is happening right now,” “What opportunities await me today,” or “Whose love am I grateful for?”

We drop our routine way of looking at things and see them differently.

In our society stress is the silent killer responsible for a large number of modern illnesses.

Stress raises adrenaline levels which in turn raises heart rate, blood pressure and sugar levels in your body. 

And that’s only the start.

What  gratitude does is relax you, allowing you to more easily let go of stress and other upsets.

When you feel gratitude it is much harder to feel stress and be anxious.

Despression is one of the most common cause of disfunction in the US. 

The simple act of writing out what you are grateful for each day helps you feel better about your life, your situation and your outlook.

But when you consider the time lost because of stress and anxiety in your life, perhaps those few minutes of gratitude will pay off big time in the long run.

The other benefit is when you exercise you open yourself up to even more gratitude. 

Action Tip

 Perform random acts of kindness. You can
increase your own gratitude by being someone else’s reason for thankfulness.
Practice random acts of kindness by unexpectedly helping others.

 What may seem like a small act to you can be a very large act of generosity to someone who is in need.

Look for opportunities each day to help someone else. The other person will
be thankful for your generosity and you’ll be grateful for the boost in your
self-esteem and mood.
