Rediscovery of Self Starts with a Decision

You free yourself by finding yourself

Rediscovery is About Finding What is Already There

My goal is to inspire others to rediscover their unlimited potential. For instance,
I want to focus on that word rediscover. It is really important. Rediscovery
means that we already know the truth, that we know that we are unlimited,
that we are whole and well. We’ve just buried the truth under a ton
of falsity and untruth.

As an example, a spiritual journey is not about fixing things we think are broken.
No, it is about digging away the clutter, the old beliefs and habits, the
beliefs of society, or what is proper and right or what us parents told
you and on an on.

Man at an archaelogy digYou are like an archeologist on a dig. Sorting down through the layers of debris to  the treasures.  Which is to say on a spiritual journey of rediscovery, you are  the treasure we are digging down to find. You are the  shining jewel you are recovering.

Sometimes the longest journey we make is the sixteen inches from our heads to our hearts.

What Is Your First Step?

We are all easy prey for the bright shiny object that in one quick application
we do it all. I’ve heard so often at spiritual  gatherings comments like these for instance:

“Have you heard of the such and such method? Did you read so and so? Do
you practice (what ever the latest fad is)?”

a graphic with different paths for successThere are hundreds of different methodologies and messages out there, many are highly effective but we jump from one to the other never really understanding where they fit in the long game of spiritual rediscover and enlightenment.

Each of these approaches, for instance, have application but there are not many mapped routes that you can use to give you the insights you need to find your own way.

When do you know you are ready to start your spiritual journey of rediscovery

Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Need of Change

No spiritual journey is possible without that sense of dissatisfaction with one’s life.

I call it “Need of Change.” And it’s about the most accurate description of that state when we decide things need to change.

It is a level of awareness that something it’s quite right. That there should be something more.

So really the starting point is a rise of awareness to that point that you realize you need to change something.

At that point you become the driving point of change because the most basic tenant of any spiritual journey is that no one else can change you, no amount of brilliant rhetoric, or clever processes can have any effect on   you until you decide to change. You become the change you want to see in your life.

Once you reach that level of awareness what is the first thing you need to do?

You need to move from a negative thinking bias to a more positive thinking bias.

In the immortal words of Wayne Dyer, “When you change the way you look at things the things  you look at change.”

Remember however, that change and awareness come on a gradient.

By behaving elegantly, you inspire others to behave elegantly; by behaving rude, you invite others to behave rude! You change others when you change yourself.

Summery of Rediscovery of Self

You will not unbury Troy on the first day of your dig.

But you might find a shard of a broken vessel, or an old fire pit which gives you a hint of all the treasures yet to come.

And the most exciting thing! They are all buried inside of you awaiting your rediscovery.

Go here to watch a short video on the very first step in changing your mindset from negative to positive. Something that takes less that 30 seconds every morning.

I am working on creating a map for your journey of rediscovery because your adventure is life long.

Once you have begun the transformation to a more positive outlook in life and you start seeing the rewards that come with that mindset, in that instance, you are ready to move into a practice of gratitude.

Where do you see your self on this journey of rediscovery?

The spiritual journey is one of constant transformation. In order to grow you must give up the stuggle to remain the same and learn to embrace change at all times
